Pentachlorophenol (pentachlorophenol) is a chlorinated phenolic compound that can be used as an insecticide and disinfectant. Pentachlorophenol was first produced in the 1930 's and sold in multiple commodity names. There are two forms: sodium salt or water agent as PCP.
